As I write, it’s very hard to think of a world without Danny Moon in it. Danny your light shines so brightly I know you will stay with all of us for all of our lives. My memories of you are as crazy, authentic and special as they come. You were part part of so many facets of my life, both the silly and the serious. When you walked into a room it went from an ordinary day to a rather special occasion. I can hear your laughter as clear as a bell. Oh Danny every time you saw my dog Henry, you’d go down on your knees, blow kisses in his face, and let him lick your stubble - much to the utter delight of the dog, me and to anyone else watching. You gave me a job when I had no money, you help build the beginnings of a business and had faith in me. For that and about a thousand other things I thank you. You have been there for some very important events in my life and were the most wonderful Godfather to Emilie and Oliver and for that I shall be eternally grateful to you and Lettie. You have given so many gifts, in so many ways, to so many people. You laughed uproariously at my dads jokes and he always found you to have the most endearing of characters. You talked easily and deeply to my brother and spoke of things philosophical and true about life. You made my mother feel gracious and kind and beautiful. You made all my girlfriends feel gorgeous and as for boyfriends… Well Dan you introduced me to them so… um… thanks? Even though I hadn’t seen much of you lately, bumping into you or waving at you as you drove past in your Ability van, well it was always as easy and wonderful to see you whenever I did. The one thing that I can be glad about, when it hurts to have lost you, is that I always did my best for you and you always did your best for me in whatever the situation was over the years. That means friendship. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was and will always remain my privilege to know you.
